A tribute to Ulver - Internet release: the 25th of December'2007Fifteen years passed since the wolves were born. While coming through time they became mature but still intelligent and discrepant.
Now we did a new approach to review and reinterpret their music. Does the result is good or not - you decide.
Tribute started in the May'2007 and gathered about 25 bands and artists from all around the world. They represent wide variety of genres, ranging from noise and ambient through different kinds of metal to acoustic folk.
Here are some facts:
1. There are 8 participants from Russia, 4 bands from France, 3 bands from Finland and 1 band from the countries: Canada, Brazil, Portugal, Israel, Germany, USA, Australia, Italy, Latvia and Norway.
2. There are 6 bands playing some kind of ambient music, 13 bands playing some kind of metal and 6 bands playing some kind of electronic music.
3. Total length of tracks is 150 minutes.
4. The first participant was added to the list the same day when tribute was announced first.
5. On the day when the tribute was announced on the Ulver's last.fm page, we got 5 new participants simulatenously.
6. There are 5 bands was invited to the tribute. The rest of the bands contacted us by their own initiative.
